The Healthcare Strategy Centre North Rhine-Westphalia

The Healthcare Strategy Centre North Rhine-Westphalia sees itself as the “nucleus” of the Healthcare Campus North Rhine-Westphalia. Immediately after the decision on the location was made by the North Rhine-Westphalian State Cabinet, it started activities at local level on sight next to the future campus area, in the BiomedicineCentre Bochum (BZM). The Strategy Centre’s continuously growing team pushes campus development ahead and develops contents for the centre.
Creating transparency in existing services in North Rhine-Westphalia and supporting their commercialisation is a further goal of the Strategy Centre. It is pursuing this goal beyond department, territory and possible clinic and research institution confines.

The Healthcare Strategy Centre North Rhine-Westphalia aims to focus on three core functions:

Business management services
e.g. giving advise on financial support or establishing health industry businesses

Initiating co-operations and networks
e.g. healthcare services research, developing international standards or tapping patient markets abroad

Initiating forward-looking projects and initiatives
e.g. managing projects in the sectors of eHealth, health promotion or healthcare
